Biographical Note

Charles E. Blakeslee was from St. Johns, Michigan and graduated from MSU in 1933 in agriculture. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho, Alpha Zeta, Block and Bridle, and Agriculture Council. He was also editor of the Michigan Agriculturist and was on the Judging Team. In 1933, he was secretary and treasurer of Pi Delta Epsilon.

Pi Delta Epsilon, the national honorary journalism fraternity, was founded in 1909 at Syracuse University to honor men who had held a position of at least assistant editor on any campus publication. Pi Delta Epsilon was dedicated to service and helped establish Schools of Journalism and revive struggling university publications.
