Scope and Contents note

This collection contains two papers and twenty slides. The first paper, entitled, "China's Hotels Today and In the Future", compares and contrasts the following five Chinese hotels (the Peking Hotel in Peking, the Brocade Hotel in Chengtu, the Da Hua Hotel in Shangai, the Hangchow Guest House in Hangchow, and TungFang Hotel in Canton) with three other hotels (the International House of Japan in Tokyo, the Holiday Inn-Kowlook in Hong Kong, and the Holiday Inn-Civic Center in San Francisco). The second paper, "Photographs and Thoughts of China '79" contains one page of 'thoughts' and five pages of description and notes for 62 slides which were retained by the donor. The collection also contains twenty slides, with description sheet, of various people and places in the People's Republic of China.
